Most Instagrammable Places in Georgia (2026)
The most photogenic spots in Georgia are concentrated in Tbilisi's Old Town — Abanotubani sulfur baths, the Clock Tower, Sololaki's painted courtyards and balconies — plus Narikala Fortress for panoramic views and Gergeti Trinity Church in Kazbegi for the iconic mountain shot.

Georgia has quietly become one of the most photographed countries in the Caucasus — a mix of domed bathhouses, pastel balconies, cobbled lanes and dramatic mountain backdrops. Here are the spots worth building your itinerary around, all of which fit naturally into our 7-day Georgia itinerary.
🏙 Tbilisi
Abanotubani sulfur baths — the brick domes of the old bathhouse district are Tbilisi's most recognisable image. Best light: early morning, before the crowds arrive.
Orbeliani Bath House — the most ornate of the sulfur baths, with Persian-style tiled façade. Combine the photo with an actual sulfur bath session (from $7/hour).
Clock Tower at the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre — a deliberately crooked, fairy-tale tower with a tiny mechanical puppet show on the hour.
Sololaki courtyards and balconies — wander off the main tourist streets into Sololaki for carved wooden balconies, peeling pastel walls and hanging laundry — the "real Tbilisi" backdrop.
Narikala Fortress — the hilltop fortress gives the classic panoramic shot over the Old Town, the river and the bath district domes below.
Bridge of Peace — the glass-and-steel pedestrian bridge over the Mtkvari River, especially striking lit up at night.
🏔 Beyond Tbilisi
Gergeti Trinity Church, Kazbegi — Georgia's most iconic single image: a small church at 2,170m with Mount Kazbek (5,047m) behind it. Part of Day 4 in our Georgia itinerary.
Jvari Monastery, Mtskheta — perched above the confluence of two rivers, a short trip from Tbilisi and easy to combine with a half-day visit.
💡 Tips for Photographing Georgia
Early morning (before 9am) is best for Abanotubani and the Old Town — both for light and for avoiding crowds
Sololaki's courtyards are still lived-in — be respectful, keep noise down, and ask before photographing people
For Gergeti Trinity Church, the hike up takes 2-3 hours — budget a full morning for the best light
A wide-angle lens helps in the narrow Old Town streets and inside the bathhouses
🔗 This guide pairs naturally with our Georgia 7-Day Itinerary — most of these spots fall on Days 1-2 (Tbilisi) and Day 4 (Kazbegi).
